Received this self-congratulatory public relations-minded ad at the register after my purchase at the grocery store yesterday. Arrowhead (or the vendor they pay) informing the public that their water bottles use recycled plastic. The amount of paper wasted telling the public how much they care for the environment is an irony that is undoubtedly lost on Arrowhead. They also place the onus for them to continue using recycled materials on the customer, participation conditional on the amount of plastic returned by consumers.
Do the math: 6 inches of paper x 3000 customers per store x 2800 stores = THOUSANDS of miles of useless paper ads a day that is generated by a company that celebrates as a selling point they are environmentally responsible.
